Nuwakot is a commanding fortress site and an interesting side trip from Trisuli Bazaar, reachable in two hours Climb from the road.Nuwakot is a commanding fortress site and an interesting side trip from Trisuli Bazaar, reachable in two hours Climb from the road.Nuwakot Palace Complex which was built in the 18th Century lies on the ancient trade route from the Kathmandu Valley to Tibet. The palace was built in the Malla style of architecture with the fort-like characteristics. The Complex comprises of the main Nuwakot Palace and various temples and shrines, the most prominent being the Bhairab Temple.

The Nuwakot Durbar looks historic itself with its ancient woodcarvings and sculptures. The woodcarvings that aged back to 18th century were fabulous piece of artifact. Beside Nuwakot Durbar, there are Rani Mahal, Taleju Temple and Bhairavi temple are the main attraction of Nuwakot hiking.

Day 02: Free day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley such as Boudha Nath, Pashupatinath and Kathmandu Durbar Square (B)
Day 03: Drive to Trishuli. (B.L.D)
Day 04: Hike to Nuwakot Palace and explore the surrounding area and visit Village. (B.L.D)
Day 05: Drive back to Kathmandu. (B)
