Everest Region trek (Khumbu) (9)
This is remote and far middle east north part of Nepal. Thia classic walk through the Sherpa homeland of solu-khambu and clear to see the mt. Everest views. Many people find the snout like Everest outrank by peaks like Ama dablam and the Lhotse-Nuptse wall. Khumbu is the major region in Nepal close -up mountain views .Enshrined in Sagarmatha National park, it is visited by some 16 000 trekkers every year. Most of Everest trekkers avoid the hardest walking by flying in and outof the crowded Lukla airport. If you have got the energy , walk from jiri through the traditional Sherpa homeland is worth extra effort . passes through the lovely southern region called solu and narrow gorge of the dud koshi (pharak)to reach the high mountain region of khumbu in a little over a week .This region going up to 5400m .
While solu can be trekked years around , Khumbu's season is limited. Most trekkers pour in during October to November and march to May. This region festivals is Dumje five days (April) Mani Rimdu dances held at several monasteries .Winter are cold , and you may not be able to go above Tenboche between mid December and mid February . This region have many small and huge (big) mountain. Everest 8848m, Cho Oyu 8201m, and other mountain.
